The ship will be equipped for conducting researching covering the entire marine ecosystem and many of the technology systems onboard have been developed by world-leading knowledge clusters in Norway.

Ocean health is threatened by marine litter, plastic pollution, climate change, acidification, overfishing and bycatch. A rescue operation is sorely needed.
REV Ocean aims to improve understanding and search for more sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions for the ocean. We will provide platforms for cooperation and innovation, as well as promote awareness and enhance learning.
The vessel is currently under construction and will commence operations in 2021.

Expedition
The ship has the range and equipment to make autonomous expeditions around the globe, and to explore, document and conduct innovative research.
Charter
The vessel is suitable for charter to private individuals, companies and institutions seeking to improve their awareness of the ocean. In this mode, the boat will have the capacity to hold 28 guests and 54 crew. Income from any chartered activity will help fund the ships research operations.
